Ultradent UltraCal XS is a uniquely formulated dental calcium hydroxide paste that is both aqueous and radiopaque. For years, calcium hydroxide has been recognized as an antibacterial agent due to its high pH (12.5) as well as its ability to potentially stimulate healing of periapical tissue. It is recommended that the larger 29ga NaviTip tip is used for predictable flow. This enables direct placement. The Ultradent UltraCal XS calcium hydroxide dental medicament can be easily and thoroughly removed from the canal using Ultradent Citric Acid and a NaviTip FX tip.
