Neogenate eugenate based paste for full-arch impression in edentulous patients.
Association of a white zinc oxide (56 %) based paste and a red-brown eugenol (14,86 %) based paste.
DIRECTIONS FOR USE
On a glass slab or paper mixing pad, place equal lengths of pastes from each of the tubes (between 9 and 11 cm according to the importance of the impression). Avoid contact between pastes if mixing is not carried out straight away.
Should be accomplished within about 30 seconds.
Using a fairly broad bladed rigid spatula, blend the two pastes carefully and vigourously until a uniform pink colour is obtained.
Taking impression :
Smear a little vaseline on the patients lips.
Transfer the mixture obtained to a special tray made from a base plate or a special resin.
Insert into the patient's mouth shaking the tray slightly to obtain a perfect flow.
Hold in place with a light pressure for about 1 minute, then make the patient carry out the required buccal movements.
The impression tray can be removed 2 1/2 to 3 minutes after insertion.
In the case of a flaw in the impression, hollow out the defective site of about 1 mm, and fill the space with a little freshly mixed paste.
Re-insert. After removal, clean the saliva from the buccal part of the impression with some moistened cotton swab. Clean the mixing spatula by heating over a flame and wiping, or use appropriate solvent.
Casting of the model :
As the material is dimensionally stable, pouring of the cast may be deferred.
WARNINGS AND PRECAUTIONS FOR USE
Zinc oxide based paste:
Very toxic to aquatic life with long lasting effects. Avoid release to the environment.
Eugenol based paste:
Warning (contains eugenol / colophany)
Causes skin irritation. Causes serious eye irritation. May cause an allergic skin reaction.
