Govindakrupa No.29, Ground Floor, 1st Cross Road, Kaggadasapura,Bangalore-560093
Composition :
Acid Base (Antivet): It is hydrofluoric acid at a 21% concentration stabilized by an organic tricarboxylic acid, with a controlled pH of <3, necessary to react with the fluoride ions to form soluble salts. The organic and inorganic ions are extracted from within the fluorapatite crystals through this ionization process which essentially allows the enamel surface to be cleansed without damaging it.
Alkaline Base (Neutralizer): It is calcium hydroxide with a pH >12, which acts upon the residual antivet solution on the tooth surface by way of a neutralizing reaction. At the same time, the calcium hydroxide seals off the enamel prisms and/or dentinal tubules on the tooth surface that have been uncovered by the friction of the cotton pellet.
Specifications :
- Appearance: Clear liquid
- Odor: Slightly irritatant
- Flavor: Slightly acidic
- Mode of absorption: None
- Toxicity grade: None (If used as indicated)
- Mutagenic, Carcinogenic, or teratogenic action: None
- Level of accumulation or side effects: None
Isolation: Apply a rubber dam to ensure proper isolation of the teeth and protect the surrounding soft tissues during the procedure.
Surface Preparation: Thoroughly clean and dry the tooth surface before application to ensure optimal contact with the enamel cleaning solution.
Application of Enamel Cleaning Solution:
Using a microbrush or cotton pellet, apply a small amount of the low-pH enamel cleaning solution to the stained area.
Gently rub the solution onto the tooth surface in a circular motion, ensuring consistent contact with the enamel.
Continue application until the discoloration begins to fade (typically within a few minutes).
Rinsing: Once the stain is removed, rinse the tooth thoroughly with water to eliminate any residual acidic solution.
Neutralization Step
Apply the calcium hydroxide neutralizing solution to the treated area.
Allow it to remain in contact with the enamel for approximately 2 minutes to neutralize any remaining acidity and help remineralize the surface.
Final Rinse and Evaluation:
Rinse the tooth thoroughly again with water and evaluate the enamel for cleanliness and shade improvement. Repeat treatment only if necessary.
