The Silane are bi-functional molecules that act as adhesion promoters. It is a binding agent with the purpose of increase the chemical adhesion between organic materials, adhesives containing methacrylic monomers and inorganics, such as ceromers, dental composite resin, glass fiber pin and ceramics that contain a glassy phase. The use of silane as a connecting agent is essential because the resistance of the composite is determined by the bond resistance between the filling and the matrix.
