It is an intrapulp canal medicament which consists of 100% pure calcium hydroxide in powder. In endodontic dental offices, it is recommended in several situations, both in cases of vital pulp and necrotic pulp with or without apical periodontitis, as pulp capping material in acidental pulp exposure and pulpotomy. It also promotes periapical repair by the deposition of mineralized tissue.
