• Setup:
• Place the autoclave securely on a stable stand.
• Keep the sterilizing materials ready, either on a clean table or a nearby shelf.
• Position the stand inside the autoclave’s drum.
• Filling Water:
• Pour distilled or drinking water into the base chamber of the autoclave, filling it up to the level of the tripod stand placed inside.
• Loading Material:
• Load the dressing drum containing the sterilizing material into the autoclave.
• Close the lid by pressing it down and rotating it clockwise until it cannot turn further.
• Sealing:
• Ensure both steam release knobs are tightly closed.
• Power Connection:
• Insert the electric cord into the element socket, plug it into the mains (220/240V, 50Hz), and switch on the power supply.
• Setting Timer:
• Rotate the timer knob to the desired sterilization time (typically 30 minutes). Heating will begin immediately as the timer is set.
• Pressure Buildup:
• After a few minutes, steam will begin to generate, and the pressure will start to rise on the pressure gauge.
• Once the pressure reaches 15 ±1 psi, excess steam will be automatically released from the stopcock to maintain consistent pressure throughout the cycle.
• Completion of Cycle:
• The unit will automatically switch off once the set sterilization time is completed.
• Depressurizing:
• Carefully and slowly loosen the steam release knob to allow the steam to escape completely.
• Wait until the pressure gauge reads 0 psi and no steam is left inside the chamber.
• Unloading:
• Open the lid carefully.
• Remove and store the sterilized material for future use.
• Post-Use Care:
• Clean and dry the autoclave thoroughly after each use.
• Periodic cleaning and maintenance are essential for ensuring the autoclave’s performance and longevity.
