Powder and Liquid Dispensing

• The recommended powder-to-liquid ratio is 3.4g:1.0g (equivalent to 1 level scoop of powder to 1 drop of liquid).

• To dispense powder accurately, gently tap the bottle against your hand—do not shake or invert.

• For precise liquid dispensing, turn the bottle upside down, hold it above the mixing pad (without touching), and press gently.

• Discard the first 1–2 drops when using a newly opened bottle, as they may not be accurate.

• Tightly reseal both bottles immediately after each use to prevent contamination or moisture exposure.

Mixing

• Dispense the powder and liquid onto a mixing pad.

• With a plastic spatula, divide the powder into two equal parts.

• Mix the first half with all the liquid for 10 seconds.

• Then add the second half, and mix thoroughly for an additional 15–20 seconds until a uniform consistency is achieved.

Restorative Technique

• Prepare the cavity using standard techniques. Extensive mechanical retention is not required.

• For pulp protection, use a calcium hydroxide liner.

• Condition the cavity using either:

  • GC CAVITY CONDITIONER (apply for 10 seconds), or

  • GC DENTIN CONDITIONER (apply for 20 seconds) using a cotton pellet or sponge.

• Rinse thoroughly with water.

• Gently dry the area with a cotton pellet or air syringe. Do not over-dry—surfaces should appear moist or glistening for optimal results.

• Mix GC Gold Label IX GP-EXTRA and use within a 2-minute working time (at 23°C / 73.4°F). Higher temperatures will reduce working time.

• Place the material into the cavity using a suitable instrument or syringe, ensuring no air bubbles.

• Pre-contour the material and apply a matrix if needed.

• Once set, apply a protective coat:

  • GC Fuji VARNISH (air dry), or

  • GC Fuji COAT LC (light cure for 10 seconds).

Finishing

• Begin final contouring and finishing 6 minutes after the start of mixing, using standard techniques under water spray.

• To enhance surface protection, apply:

  • G-COAT PLUS and light cure for 20 seconds, or

  • GC Fuji VARNISH (blow dry), or

  • GC Fuji COAT LC (light cure for 10 seconds).

• Advise the patient not to apply pressure on the restoration for at least 1 hour after placement.
