Many patients have a desire for a treatment which is discreet as possible. However, some are not prepared to bear the extra costs for -ceramic brackets. Micro Sprint® offers an attractive alternative: very small, extremely flat and also nickel free. The body of the bracket is ideally rounded and by virtue of a special surface treatment, extremely smooth to prevent irritation to the mucosa. The slot entrance is rounded, thus ¬reducing friction, and therefore ensuring an effective course of treatment. As with the predecessors, the Micro Sprint® Bracket offers high material density. This provides a closed surface, giving plaque and bacteria few opportunities of adhesion.
Micro Sprint is currently the smallest Twin-Bracket available. Nonetheless it combines all the essential features of a “full-size” bracket: it is manufactured from a single piece of stainless steel by metal injection molding and can be combined with all commonly used archwire sizes. A flush fit slot base ensures optimal rotation control. Ligating is performed using conventional metal or elastic ligatures. Optional brackets with hooks are available for use with inter or intramaxillary elastics. Elastic chains can still be used despite the small size of Micro Sprint, we recommend the especially flat lingual chains from FORESTADENT with metal ligatures.
