Tooth Preparation

• Clean the tooth surface thoroughly using pumice and water to eliminate debris and stains.

• Perform shade selection under natural light to match the restorative material with the tooth shade.

• Prepare the cavity using standard clinical techniques, ensuring a clean, dry, and oil-free environment.

• Use oil-free air to gently dry the surface. For optimal isolation and moisture control, apply a rubber dam to prevent contamination from saliva, blood, or sulcus fluids.

• Follow standard principles of cavity preparation, especially in deep cavities, to protect the pulp.

Etching & Bonding

• Apply D-Tech Etching Gel to the enamel margins for 20–30 seconds.

• Rinse thoroughly and dry with oil-free air—avoid over-drying.

• Apply the bonding agent according to the manufacturer's guidelines. Take care not to desiccate the tooth structure.

Dispensing Instructions

Select the appropriate Compo-Flo syringe shade.

Remove the cap and securely attach an angled luer lock tip.

Position the dispensing tip close to the cavity surface.

Gently press the plunger to dispense material directly into the cavity. Alternatively, dispense onto a mixing pad and transfer with a suitable instrument.

Placement Guidelines

Do not place Compo-Flo in layers exceeding 2 mm thickness to ensure optimal curing.

Light Curing

Use a suitable light-curing unit to polymerize the material.

Hold the light guide as close as possible to the surface of the restoration.

Refer to the curing chart for appropriate curing times based on the device’s light intensity.

Note: Inadequate curing may result in discoloration or postoperative sensitivity. Ensure your curing light provides sufficient output and verify regularly using a light intensity meter.

Finishing & Polishing

Carefully remove any excess material and contour the restoration as needed.

Finish and polish using standard polishing systems to achieve a smooth, high-gloss surface.
