The LaserWhite20 whitening gel kit must be refrigerated when not in use. Prior to use (component mixing), allow the syringes to reach room temperature.

The LaserWhite20 whitening gel is designed only for use with BIOLASE diode laser systems. Do Not use this gel with any other delivery systems, lasers or light sources. LaserWhite20 whitening gel when used with other lasers or light sources may result in damage to the light source and adverse effects to the patient may occur

Step 1: Patient Preparation

• Seat the patient comfortably and ensure they are wearing protective eyewear.

• Apply Vaseline to the lips to avoid irritation during the procedure.

• Insert lip and cheek retractors to ensure proper exposure of the teeth.

• Use cotton rolls or gauze for moisture control and to keep the working area dry.

Step 2: Application of Liquid Dam

1. Attach Applicator Tip

   • Remove the black cap from the Liquid Dam syringe.

   • Replace it with the black applicator tip provided in the kit.

2. Verify Product Flow

   • Dispense a small amount of material onto a disposable pad to ensure smooth flow.

3. Apply the Liquid Dam

   • Carefully apply a continuous bead of Liquid Dam along the gingival margin to cover the gums and protect soft tissues.

4. Cure the Liquid Dam

   • Use a curing light to harden the barrier according to the manufacturer’s recommended time (usually 20–30 seconds).

Step 3: Application of Whitening Gel

1. Prepare Whitening Gel

   • Use the dual-barrel syringe containing the whitening gel.

   • Attach the mixing tip provided with the kit to the syringe.

2. Apply Gel to Teeth

   • Dispense a uniform layer of gel (1–1.5 mm thick) onto the labial (front) surface of each tooth to be treated.

   • Avoid contact with soft tissues.

Step 4: Laser Activation

1. Set Up Laser

   • Set the laser to the recommended settings for the White20 procedure.

2. Activate Whitening Gel

   • Apply laser light to each tooth or quadrant for the time specified in the treatment protocol (usually 30 seconds per area).

   • Ensure even coverage to activate the gel uniformly.

Step 5: Gel Removal and Reapplication (If Needed)

• After laser activation, suction or wipe off the gel completely.

• If a second or third cycle is needed, reapply fresh gel and repeat the laser activation steps.

Step 6: Removal of Liquid Dam and Post-Care

1. Remove Liquid Dam

   • Gently peel away the cured Liquid Dam using cotton pliers or a suitable instrument.

2. Rinse and Inspect

   • Rinse the patient’s mouth thoroughly with water.

   • Inspect results and document tooth shade improvement.

3. Provide Aftercare Instructions

   • Advise the patient to avoid strongly pigmented foods and beverages for at least 24 hours post-treatment.

LaserWhite20 whitening gel is intended for in-office dental use only and must be administered by a licensed dental professional using a Biolase laser system. It is suitable for single-tooth, partial, or full-arch whitening procedures.

This gel is specifically formulated to treat surface staining and discoloration caused by factors such as disease, trauma, aging, or certain medical treatments. It is effective in whitening teeth that appear dark, yellowed, or discolored.

Since restorative materials do not respond to whitening agents, it is advised to perform teeth whitening prior to placing esthetic restorations. For best results, wait at least two weeks after bleaching before proceeding with adhesive restorations. Treated teeth typically continue to whiten for 12 to 24 hours after the procedure, providing enhanced results over time.
