JJ Ortho Bondable Begg Brackets

Preparation:

• Ensure the patient's teeth are clean and free of any debris.
• Use a prophylaxis brush and pumice to clean the tooth surfaces.
• Rinse thoroughly with water and air dry the teeth.

Isolation:

• Isolate the teeth to prevent contamination from saliva or moisture.
• Use cotton rolls, cheek retractors, or other isolation techniques as needed.

Etching:

• Apply an etching gel or liquid to the tooth surfaces where the brackets will be bonded.
• Leave the etching agent on for the recommended time (usually around 30 seconds).
• Rinse thoroughly with water and air dry the teeth until they appear frosty white.

Bonding Agent:

• Apply a thin layer of bonding agent to the etched tooth surfaces.
• Light-cure the bonding agent according to the manufacturer's instructions.

Bracket Placement:

• Apply a small amount of orthodontic adhesive to the base of the JJ Ortho Bondable Begg Bracket.
• Position the bracket on the tooth, ensuring it is properly aligned and centered.
• Press firmly to ensure full contact between the bracket base and the tooth surface.
• Remove any excess adhesive around the bracket base using a scaler or similar instrument.

Curing:

• Light-cure the adhesive according to the adhesive manufacturer's instructions.
• Ensure all areas of the bracket base receive adequate light exposure for a secure bond.

Final Check:

• Verify the position and alignment of all brackets.
• Make any necessary adjustments before the adhesive fully sets.

Archwire Placement:

• Once all brackets are securely bonded, proceed with the placement of the archwire.
• Secure the archwire with ligatures or other appropriate methods.
