Elements IRM Polymer Reinforced ZOE Cement features a reinforcing polymer incorporated into the powder. This gives the cement the strength to resist condensation forces and to ensure adequate life when used as a temporary filling. By incorporating the reinforcing agent in the powder instead of the liquid, the mixing properties are excellent. Although the cement is reinforced it can be easily removed when used as a temporary filling material.The excellent physical properties resulting from the unique polymer reinforcing agents include high compressive and tensile strength, excellent abrasion resistance. Its strength is comparable to Zinc Phosphate Cement.
The eugenol content in Elements IRM Polymer Reinforced ZOE Cement composition gives the material sedative-like qualities on hypersensitive tooth pulp and is a good thermal insulator as well.
